ATV UTV ACTION Magazine
ATV UTV Action is one of the best all-terrain vehicle information magazines on the market and offers both print, digital, app compatible versions, and back issues. This magazine is packed full of useful information geared toward UTV and ATV fans.
Reviews
Like its competitor magazines, UTV Action does a great job bringing readers the latest info on all things ATV & UTV. The mag attempts to answer readers’ questions and provides a detailed how-to section for the do-it-yourself projects.
News
UTV readers get up-to-date articles on anything from Cody Miller’s Texan Outlaw Series and who captured the 2021 Off-Road Championship series. The magazine is full of event and product news.
Events
Action Magazine is about action and where it takes place. Articles summarize everything from Rally on the Rocks to the best 2022 desert series on the radar. It leaves no stone unturned to keep the reader abreast of all pertinent dates on the calendar.

The magazine is well illustrated and informative. The online version is easy to navigate, and formatted heading makes for easy viewing. It’s chock full of info and exciting racing and overlanding articles in twelve timely issues.
ATV WORLD MAGAZINE
ATV World Magazine’s dedication to bringing their off-road reader in North America relevant articles, distributed in six yearly issues, is well known in the industry.

Four Wheeler Print Magazine
Motor Trend has been producing Four Wheeler since 1962, roughly the same time cars were invented (joking). It’s an industry icon and the oldest off-road magazine, and a leading 4X4 authority.
Currently available in monthly print installments for under 15 bucks, Four Wheeler speaks to an international audience.
Reviews
Four Wheeler reviews such topics as bent tie rods and has podcast features from the last Truck Show. Enjoy articles on the latest test-drive results, interior reviews, or find out who they honored with their prestigious car or truck of the year title.
News
Car enthusiast and big boy Jay Leno makes a regular appearance in the magazine and features articles on everything from electric cars to the rare Jeep Willys discovered in grandpa’s barn.
Events
This is a category that perhaps Four Wheeler is leaving open for their competition, as I found it challenging to find an off-road events calendar. Under the Motor Trend banner, you can find more specialized articles on ATVs.
Bottom Line
Four Wheeler is for the truck, SUV, Jeep loving, rockcrawling all-terrain fan. It’s the grandfather of off-roading magazines and makes a great addition to the collection on the shelf.
Overland Camper, Build Your Own
This how-to manual is a great companion book for all-terrain motorsports enthusiasts. It’s great to get away to secluded terrain for the ultimate ATV & UTC excursion, but for those hard-to-reach areas, it’s nice to be able to bring the skink, the bed, and kids along too.
This hardcover book teaches you how to build your own adventure vehicle that you can literally take everywhere but the local mall.
Reviews
Overland Camper explores the trials and tribulations of building an overland vehicle that will get adventurers into unexplored territory where commercial campers can’t reach.
News
Although not for every ATV rider, this book receives good reviews from people who dream of having a camper that is as versatile on impossible terrain as their ATVs.
Projects
As an overview, this book is very inspirational for those toying with the idea of modifying a camper or truck into an overlanding unit. It’s a great starting point.
Bottom Line
ATV & UTV enthusiasts never arrive on the scene without some of the comforts of home for obvious reasons. While this book doesn’t review or recommend all-terrain products, it makes for an exciting read. I spent years traveling on the race circuit, and in some seedy locations that we passed through, one of those units would have made me feel safer.
UTV Off-Road Magazine
To UTV or ATV? That is the question. UTVs were once considered the workhorse, while the ATV was the party house. But the power, versatility, and passenger-friendly capacity of the UTV is changing those machines riding on a car-like wheelbase into fun off-road family vehicles.
UTV Off-Road is an online magazine that offers a subscription for a bi-monthly emailed copy.
Reviews
UTV Mag offers their readers a great Buyer’s Guide for every UTV and side-by-side available on the market, including great photos, specs, reader reviews, comparisons, and prices.
News
Under the Article heading on the website, readers have quick access to Industry News, Press Releases, and How to guides. If you’re looking for the latest 2022 Kawasaki Teryx KRX or Polaris RZR, you’ll find it there.
Events
Also, under the Article heading, the magazine offers information about resort or trail rides and UTV racing and scrambling schedules from Arizona to the Baja.
Other Notable Contenders
It’s difficult to summarize the many great magazines for the off-road and overlander fan into one list. Here are a few more to check out:
